MR16 light bulbs are a type of halogen light bulb. Halogen lamps use halogen gas which allows the lamp to burn brighter. Halogen light bulbs are more efficient than regular incandescent lamps. They give off more light for the same energy used. Incandescent light bulbs produce an average of 10 to 13 lumens per watt, compared with halogen light bulbs which produce 14 to 20 lumens per watt.
That's up to 50% more light for the same energy consumption.
MR-16 (Mini-Reflectors) provide excellent beam control.
Halogen MR16 light bulbs are available in various spot and flood beam spreads. Small size allows for use in smaller track and recessed fixtures.
